Design Features and Construction

• Surround Technologies electrical substations are built to quality specifications:
• 12 gauge all welded steel construction (exterior)
• Interior wall sheeting is perforated metal (galvanized) and riveted on 24"
centers to the steel framing.
• All areas within the structure that are not painted or galvanized will be coated with an iron oxide anti-corrosive primer.
• The exterior paint is typically a high quality industrial-enamel, suitable for most inland and salt environments. The final exterior coating has an esthetic texture finish.
• Specialty and marine coatings available upon request.

On-board each unit is an easy-access, ReelPower™ spool, designed to meet the
technical bending radius for each types of cable; Cabtire, Teck, and various other
flexible and extra-hard-usage outdoor cords.

• 200A metered Main distribution
• Up to 1000 kV+ main distribution available with stand-alone diesel generator package.
• 200’ cable runs standard (60m) up to 1000’+ runs possible with booster units.
