Surround Technologies Inc. manufactures tanks in compliance with UL/ULC
certifications under UL/ULC-142 standards, up to and including 10,000 US Gallon capacity.

Fuel Tank Base Construction:

• Double wall construction o Rectangular shape
• Secondary containment type
• Reinforced steel box channels for GenSet mounting
• Full height gussets
• Mounting holes provided for the generator and enclosure
• All welds are continuous

Testing
Primary and secondary containment tank sections are put under pressure at 3-5 psi
and checked for leaks. All weld seams are checked for integrity to meet UL/ULC-142 standards.

Fuel Containment Basin
Fuel tank base containment basin is sized at 110% of capacity to allow for any escape of fuel.

Standard Fuel Tank Base Fittings:

• All fittings are standard NPT type
• All fuel, vent and filling fittings will be clearly labeled
• Containment basin drain o Level gauge
• Level Alarm (Hi-Low switch)
• Leak detection
• Atmospheric and emergency venting
• Fuel supply and return
