Surround Technologies designs and builds fuel tank bases for generators, ensuring the mounting specifications (foot print) and the capacity match those of the customer as well as the engine manufacturer.

Surround Technologies Inc. manufactures tanks in compliance with UL/ULC
certifications under UL/ULC-142 standards, up to and including 10,000 US Gallon capacity.

Fuel Tank Base Construction:

• Double wall construction o Rectangular shape
• Secondary containment type
• Reinforced steel box channels for GenSet mounting
• Full height gussets
• Mounting holes provided for the generator and enclosure
• All welds are continuous

Testing
Primary and secondary containment tank sections are put under pressure at 3-5 psi
and checked for leaks. All weld seams are checked for integrity to meet UL/ULC-142 standards.

Fuel Containment Basin
Fuel tank base containment basin is sized at 110% of capacity to allow for any escape of fuel.

• All fittings are standard NPT type
• All fuel, vent and filling fittings will be clearly labeled
